Aw, what a cute little fellow! I really love the shading and the contrast between the yellowe fur and the violet light is well chosen to make the character stay out even more. Damn, I wish I'd have enough money for getting a cintiq too - I've got a normal wacom tablet and it works fine for several years, but I really would love to give the cintip a try...
Thanks for the compliment. About the cintiq i actually sold mine hehe, it IS a super tool and your workflow will definetly increase when you draw on the cintiq but i had the small version, am saving up for his bigger brother now ^^
First thing I noticed-> The bright yellow colors and the detail within the eye.
What I like the most->The level of detail you have on this is really nice! The eye looks bright and shiny and the fur has a very light and feathery look to it.
What I like the least-> The backround seems a little slapped on and doesn't fit well with the rest of the piece.
What I think can be done to improve this-> The shadows on the muppet are a little drab, like you shaded with a dark green or very dark yellow. Instead, try shading with orange, red, or even purple. Yellow is such a bright color that if you're not careful, the shadows can make it look drab and dirty. Also, the muppet should fit more into the backround. The shading suggests a light source from the right corner but the shadow cast by the muppet is only right underneath it when it should be going out longer towards the left. You have reflected blue light on the left side without showing any source or it. There should be a hint of reflected like on the muppet but it should coincide with the colors of the backround. That or there should be a hint of blue in the backround to show better suit the reflected light.
Overall I think this is a very nice piece! I give it 4 out of 5 stars!
